Intermediate Woodworking Spring 2025 (Adult)
Intermediate Woodworking with Pierina & Tom
Project based, and for adults who already have some experience (please read requirements below).
The main goal of this class is to build on what you have already learned — expanding your skills, knowledge, and craftsmanship. You will be using a combination of hand tools and machines to learn different types of joinery. Additionally you will be taught crucial skills on a bandsaw, domino jointer, biscuit jointer and drill press. The class will provide you with greater knowledge and exposure to help gain confidence as a growing woodworker.
You will be taught by Pierina dell'Avo and Tom Rataiczyk who are both trained furniture/cabinet makers and co-teachers for College of Marin Community Education classes including Woodworking Beginners, Intermediate Machine, and Hand Tool classes.
Module One: Stool (see photo)
This project will include cutting tapered legs, hand planing and chisel work, sanding, and finishing.
When: Thursdays 6 pm - 9 pm
April 17th, 24th, May 1, 8th, 15th, & 22nd
Where: Spaulding Marine Center
