Spaulding Marine Center Youth Programs
At Spaulding Marine Center, we are proud to offer a diverse range of youth programs designed to engage, educate, and inspire the next generation of maritime enthusiasts. Our programs cater to beginners and seasoned participants alike, opening the door to new experiences and skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
What We Offer:
Summer Camps
Our summer camps provide a unique opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of sailing and woodworking. Through hands-on activities and expert guidance, campers have the chance to explore the rich maritime heritage of the San Francisco Bay Area while developing valuable skills and confidence.
Homeschool Program
Our homeschool program offers a flexible and interactive learning experience for students looking to supplement their education with hands-on maritime activities. Participants have the opportunity to engage with our expert instructors, learning the fundamentals of sailing and woodworking in a dynamic and engaging setting.
Sailing for Beginners
For those who have never sailed before, our sailing program offers a supportive introduction to the world of sailing. Participants will learn the basics of navigation, rigging, and seamanship, gaining the skills and confidence needed to take to the water with ease.
Woodworking Basics
Our woodworking program provides participants with the opportunity to explore the art of boat building and woodworking. From learning how to use essential tools to crafting their own creations, participants at Spaulding Marine Center may arrive having never sailed or been inside a woodshed before, but they will leave with a newfound appreciation for the maritime world.
