Lapstrake Dinghy Build Course June 10-21, 2024
Spend your evenings building your own wooden dinghy. This course runs from Monday-Friday from 12:00-5:00 pm for two weeks.
There are multiple lapstrake build designs available to you for this course: The Eastport Pram, the Passagemaker Dinghy and the Tenderly.
Building a lapstrake dinghy (a method of boat building in which the edges of hull plank overlap each other) provides the builder an enjoyment of construction of a dinghy is small steps.
A Spaulding Instructor will walk you through the complete construction of your kit and be there through each step for questions and tips.
These are great builds for families and beginners who want a practical and versatile dinghy.
